(Newser) – If Karl Rove’s so smart, how come his party’s the one locked out of power? That’s what top White House adviser David Axelrod seemed to ask in an interview with the Washington Post. Dismissing Rove’s criticisms of Obama’s stimulus plan as “intramural stuff,” Axelrod said, “The last thing that I think we are looking for at this juncture is advice on fiscal integrity or ethics from Karl Rove.”

The last thing that I think we are looking for at this juncture is advice on fiscal integrity or ethics from Karl Rove -- anyone who's read the newspapers for the last eight years would laugh at that. - David Axelrod

Mr. Obama, for all his talents, has already re-energized the GOP and sparked a spending debate that will last for years. The president won this legislative battle, but at a high price -- fiscally and politically. - Karl Rove

Amen to Axelrod's comment. I don't think Rove's advice is something the Obama administration is seeking or cares about. We have all seem the result of Rove's advice. Don't want to go there again.

Karl Rove is hilarious. I've never seen a person flip flop on the issues as he hs. You would think he was running for office
