Baby-Faced Dad Is Just 13

Teen parent stands barely four feet tall

(Newser) – Thirteen-year-old Alfie Patten, who, with his baby face, could pass for eight, became a father on Monday, the Sun reports. The 4-foot-tall Brit—who did not know how much diapers cost but said, "I think it’s a lot"—was not sure how he and girlfriend Chantelle Steadman, 15, would care for their daughter. "I don’t really get pocket money," he said. "My dad sometimes gives me £10."

Alfie told his own father the one night of unprotected sex that produced daughter Maisie was his first sexual experience. Though it’s a bit late, Alfie’s dad "will talk to him again and it will be the birds and the bees talk. He needs to understand so there is not another baby." Probably a good idea, since the teen is still allowed to spend the night at his girlfriend's house.

We didn’t think we would need help from our parents. You don’t really think about that when you find out you are pregnant. You just think your parents will kill you.
- Chantelle Steadman, 15, on her pregnancy

I told her it was lovely to have the baby but I wish it was in different circumstances. - Penny Steadman, new grandma

I didn’t know what it would be like to be a dad. I will be good, though, and care for it. - Alfie Patten, 13

Another example of how parents worldwide are not talking to their children about sex. Now you have two underage children, (the child is staying with the Mother who lives with her unemployed father who is receiving funds from the government), who have no idea whatsoever how to raise a child. Sad, very sad.

Unfortunately you don't need a license to have babies. It's the NOT having babies part that requires thinking.
