Octuplet Mom's Agents Quit Over Death Threats

(Newser) – The octuplets mom now has two fewer people in her life: The husband-and-wife publicity team who represented her has quit because of death threats, the Los Angeles Times reports. "They hope I die, they hope my business goes under, they want to rip her uterus out," said JoAnn Killeen, who had taken on Nadya Suleman as a client for free. "They say I should be anesthetized and put down like a dog."

Killeen and her husband helped Suleman set up a website to raise money—then promptly received 55,000 nasty emails. They sent their dogs to a kennel and stayed at a secret location with Suleman for a few days, hoping the hate would die down. No such luck. "The American public have just lashed out," said Killeen. "I think it has to do with the economy, health care—there's not a lot of jobs, people are unemployed and are trying to take care of their families."

Does the situation honestly call for death threats? These people were simply attempting to help this woman in a situation gone sour. To threaten their live for trying to commint a act of kindness doesn't say much for the American people who will all give less than a dollar a year to the raising of these children.

Agreed. She needs help, but because she can't pay for it (or will pay with student loans! Great Idea!) I'm sure that will be on us, too.

Kill Killeen. It has an unfortunate ring to it. Maybe they should hire a publicist to help them out?
