(Newser) Right America, Feeling Wronged, a documentary airing tonight on HBO, follows filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi as she chats with die-hard McCain/Palin supporters on the campaign trail, some of whom fear Barack Obama is the anti-Christ. Critics are mixed on the result: While David S. Glasier calls it “one of the most profoundly disturbing programs I've seen” in the News-Herald, Verne Gay, writing in Newsday, says the film is “just a parade.”

Pelosi, Nancy’s daughter, “never—not once—gets beyond the Red State cliche,” Gay writes. “I suppose all of us supposedly smug liberal East Coast media types are meant to find this parade of right-wing malcontents confirmation of our own biases.” But Glenn Garvin disagrees in the Miami Herald: Pelosi does “an admirably fair job of letting a reasonable cross-section of the 55 million Americans who didn't vote for Barack Obama last November explain why.”

At first, absolutely engaging. And then, five to seven minutes in, just interesting. By 20 minutes, it's tiresome. And just before the finish line (45 minutes), you will tear your hair out. Or fall asleep.

Jose' Cuervo! The damn socialist mantra again. Why don't you go to Europe and observe some real socialists before you bandy that label around. And while your there observe the overall higher quality of life they have and realize that a little socialism in small doses wouldn't be such a bad thing.

This is just it. I voted against my economic self interests, as you put it for the good of the country. I feel that I should rely on myself for my food/clothing/shelter, etc and not rely on the government to sustain me. Those that have the idea that the govt. should take care of them from the cradle to the grave are bringing themselves down and punishing those that do for themselves
