Liberals grumble over President's compromises

(Newser) – President Obama signed the economic stimulus bill into law today, the AP reports. In a Denver science museum chosen to underscore the bill’s investments in green technology and science education, Obama said he hoped the bill "will ignite our imagination once more, spurring new discoveries and breakthroughs that will make our economy stronger, our nation more secure, and our planet safer for our children.”

What is ironic is the fact that he wants to highlight the bill's investments in "green technology". Well he should have started by not fueling up AirForce One and wasting a ton of taxpayers dollars to do so and adding CO2 emissions in the process. Where's the outrage from the media for such wastefulness??? Oh yeah that's right, only Democrats are allowed to be wasteful b/c they are the most "efficient" at it. Reply

You are right - he should have rode a bicycle and packed a lunch. That would have set the right tone for the country and saved harmful emissions. (Too bad about your hot air though)

Maybe it isn't necessary to go trolling around the country in a 747 every day pushing a bill that everyone in your party is voting for with a filibuster proof majority. I wish he'd quite running for 2012 and start writing his own legislation. For a guy that loves hearing his own voice so much, you'd think he might want to put in a few words about how 0.8 trillion dollars is spent.
