(Newser) – Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are ready to start a family, Star reports. Though de Rossi once considered adoption, the pair, who wed in August, have settled on in-vitro fertilization—and are hoping for a boy. “Portia is prepared to go through it 10 times if she has to,” a source said, adding that de Rossi is trying to “gain a few pounds” before starting: “Whatever it takes to get pregnant, she'll do it.”

They would love a boy, but would truly be happy with any healthy baby. Ellen and Portia are mad about each other. And having a child together will only strengthen their bond. - A source

It's a good thing that IVF is cheap. After all, a jobless, welfare-receiving, no-asset woman was able to have at least 14 implantations. IVF must be extraordinarily cheap. Ellen and Portia would probably make great parents.

Well, at least the taxpayers won't have to pay for any children brought forth by this in-vitro fertilization story.

I hope their wish is granted and they have a healthy baby. I can't help adding, to ensure success, maybe they could contact Suleman's doctor!
