He stokes conspiracy theories in video

He may be President Obama to you, but don't tell that to Alan Keyes. In a video released yesterday, the ultra-conservative seeks to resurrect conspiracy theories that Obama is not a US citizen and therefore ineligible to be president. Keyes—who lost to Obama in the 2004 Senate race in Illinois—says the "radical communist" refuses to show definitive proof. The Supreme Court dismissed the notion without comment last year.

The Obama campaign has released a copy of Obama’s Hawaii birth certificate, but critics demand the original, which Hawaii won't provide because of privacy concerns. Meanwhile, Keyes says, Obama's "Kenyan relations say that he was born in Nairobi at a time when his mother was too young to transmit US citizenship.” This is "no laughing matter," he tells an apparently amused off-camera reporter. If we don't stop Obama, “the United States is going to cease to exist.”
