Moss Leaves Pats Practice with Injury

Posted Aug 2, 07 5:03 AM CDT in Sports

(Newser) – Fresh Patriots wideout Randy Moss left training camp yesterday with a hamstring injury, the Boston Herald reports. The five-time Pro Bowler came up limp while running routes with QB Tom Brady, though he reportedly left the playing field without assistance. The Pats haven't released details on the 30-year-old receiver.

"It doesn't sound too bad, but I really can't comment," a Moss representative said yesterday. A serious injury would be a big blow to New England, which has been sketching sets around the explosive receiver since pinching him from Oakland in April. "He's one of the greatest," cornerback Randall Gay said of his teammate. "He was doing well before this happened."
