Brown goes overboard wishing Rihanna happy birthday

(Newser) – Chris Brown showered Rihanna with gifts and called to wish her a happy 21st birthday Friday, the New York Daily News reports. “He knows he’s very much in the doghouse right now, and is doing everything he can to show her how sorry he is,” a source said of Brown. Rihanna reportedly wanted him at her Hollywood shindig, and friends worry “she can’t be without him.”

Brown sent a diamond bracelet and necklace and an iPod while his mom sent flowers—and Rihanna “was in a great mood” on the big day, the source says. She later flew to her native Barbados, allegedly skipping a surprise appearance at the Oscars, the New York Post adds.

I think he's got a hold of her psyche, that's why women find it difficult to escape abusive relationships. And even if she does go back to him, I doubt Jay-Z would allow it since he's so protective over her.
