Fox Ribs Biden's Fumbling Over Web 'Number'

Fox News is poking fun at Joe Biden for seeming a little clueless about the web. During an appearance on CBS' Early Show today, Biden sought to refer viewers to the government's new stimulus-tracking website, but he couldn't come up with its "number." His full line: "You know, I'm embarrassed. Do you know the website number?" he asked an aide. "I should have it in front of me and I don't. I'm actually embarrassed." For record, it's Recovery.org.

Writes Fox News: "Biden, who seemed to indicate that he thought the Internet worked like a giant telephone, sounded an unusually Luddite note inside an administration often heralded for its mastery of the Web." Such gaffes aren't rare among politicians of a certain age. President Bush once famously referred to the "Internets" and "the Google," and candidate John McCain said he performed "a Google" on potential running mates. (More Joe Biden stories.)
