'Terrible Pain' Prompts Surgery for Dying TV Star

(Newser) – British reality-TV star Jade Goody, terminally ill with cancer, was rushed to the hospital last night for “terrible pain” in her stomach, and doctors are operating today, the Daily Mail reports. “She was sobbing and petrified,” her publicist said. But cancer specialists “got the pain under control last night and she has managed to have a good night’s sleep,” he tells the Daily Mirror.

“This is the place that I am going to die,” a hospital insider quoted Goody as saying. “She saw familiar faces and was so emotional as she realized it was the last time she is going to see them. Her prognosis is two to four weeks—but there are worries she won’t make it to the weekend,” the source told the Mail.

The sad fact of today's news cycle is, all the sympathy heading J Goody's way will dry up if she lives too long. People's attention & compassion spans are too short. I'm sure there are many who think that a wedding night death would have been perfect. Oh, and as for karma? Load of bollocks. Reply

Poor little girl . . . no one should have to die with cancer and in such pain. Jade, relax sweetie -- you are only passing through another veil to our real world. You aren't leaving anyone behind -- rather, you will be able to love and guide them from the other side. It's all good, if you can just get through the pain and the fear. No fear, Jade. I will pray for your deliverance and your peace. Reply
