Police are hunting a Cleveland father believed to have shot dead his new wife and four young children in the midst of a violent domestic confrontation, the Mansfield News-Journal reports. A sixth victim, a 12-year-old boy, managed to flee the scene and alert neighbors. At least one of the murdered kids was suspected shooter Davon Crawford's child, reports the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The children's grandfather said he received a troubling text message apparently just before his daughter was shot dead. It read: "Call me, live your life, love it. Then I tried to call her about 12 times, and there never was an answer," he said.
