(Newser) – Chris Brown may have been charged with two felonies, but he still wants you to vote for him to win the Kids’ Choice Awards, Us reports. The singer posted a blog yesterday asking for votes and thanking fans for the support. The charges also weren’t enough to stop him from partying at a Beverly Hills hotel bar until 3:45am, TMZ adds. More on the Rihanna-Brown situation:

  • Extra—whoops!—forgot to black out the phone numbers in one section of the recently released search warrant application, Gawker reports.
  • Rihanna’s relatives are happy Brown’s been charged, People notes—“ He should be in jail,” said one relative, while her father wondered, “Why should he hit her?”
  • Rihanna’s friends, however, “rallied around her, stopped saying bad things about Chris” in an effort to be supportive of her reunion with Brown, MSNBC adds.

It's about time. He should be in jail. He deserves whatever he gets. - A relative of Rihanna

I was annoyed. I never hit my daughter. Why should he hit her? Why would anyone do that? I was crazy, but I don't know the situation and I wasn't there. - Ronald Fenty, Rihanna's father

Everybody loves Rihanna. They don’t necessarily want her with Chris, but the second it was clear she was back with him, all of her friends rallied around her, stopped saying bad things about Chris.
