(Newser) – Stocks attempted to mount a rally this morning, following yesterday’s 4.1% Dow plunge. The Dow rose 69 points, while the S&P added 1% and the Nasdaq 0.5%, the Wall Street Journal reports. That move came despite a gruesome jobs report that saw unemployment jump to a 25-year high. The dollar moved lower, as did treasuries, while gold and oil rose.
