Hillary Clinton had some serious business in Turkey today, but a stop at a talk show revealed a gushier side, Reuters reports. When asked about the "last" time she fell in love, she proved her diplomatic mettle. “It was so long ago, with my husband,” she said, noting that they met in law school in 1971. “We have been talking to each other and enjoying our life together ever since.”
Clinton had a ready answer to a vague but pointed question about how she overcame personal adversity. “Oh, love! And forgiveness, and friendship, and family,” she said. “You know, family, faith, friends are the core of my life, and I don't know anybody whose life is smooth sailing." She also lamented the lack of privacy in public life and said the family's fashion gene skipped her generation and went straight to Chelsea.
