Post-Brawl Brewers Best Phillies 2-1

Posted Aug 4, 07 10:35 AM CDT in US Sports

(Newser) – The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Milwaukee Brewers 2-1 yesterday, only a day after a dugout altercation between Brewers manager Ned Yost and catcher Johnny Estrada left many fans worried. The Milwaukee victory moved them back into first place in the NL Central division, although the team is still struggling, having won only five of its last 15 games.

"What happened yesterday happened, and I think it is going to be for the good of all of us," Yost said, citing team tensions. "It just shows the desire and intensity we all have to win. Sometimes frustrations mount up a little bit and it's good to get them off your chest for everyone."
