President Bush got an aerial view of the collapsed highway bridge in Minneapolis today, as his Marine One helicapter circled the site several times to allow the commander in chief to  inspect the wreckage. He listened to briefings on plans for recovery, and met with victims' families.

The death toll in the I-35W bridge failure Wednesday stands at 5; slow rush-hour traffic is credited with giving passengers a chance to escape their cars as the bridge buckled."This is a difficult time for the community in Minneapolis, but the people there are decent and resilient," Bush said in a radio address today before his trip.
