Drugs Found on Clemens' Injection Kit

Lawyer says McNamee must have planted evidence

(Newser) – Federal investigators have found traces of banned, performance-enhancing substances on the paraphernalia Brian McNamee used to inject Roger Clemens, the New York Times reports. Clemens’ DNA was found on at least one of the syringes last month, but the pitcher says he was only injected with Vitamin B12 and painkillers. The findings bolster McNamee’s claims that he injected Clemens with steroids—and the perjury case against Clemens.

But Clemens’ top lawyer says he isn’t surprised. “Duh,” he said. “Do you really think McNamee was going to fabricate this stuff and not make sure there were substances on there?” McNamee says he’s kept the materials in a box in his basement since 2001. So far it’s unclear which implements bear the tell-tale traces.

Hilarious, all this time the Federal government, (who evidently don't have a job tracking down terrorist within our borders), have been chasing after Bonds, and of late several other players are making the news. I love it.
