(Newser) – Chris Brown is ready to fire his manager, the New York Post reports—but not because of their rumored affair. Brown is upset his apology over the alleged assault of Rihanna was issued late and sounded “insincere,” an insider says, and the singer is ready to replace his entire team. Meanwhile, manager Tina Davis denied rumors of an affair, the New York Daily News adds.

“The relationship between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown is that of manager and client,” said Davis’ lawyer. “There has never been any other relationship. The rumors in circulation are false.” Another rumor that can be disregarded? A Brown-Rihanna duet, the Post’s insider says.
