Ingraham Calls Meghan McCain 'Useful Idiot'

Feud continues; 'I'm proud of my daughter,' says John McCain

(Newser) – Meghan McCain, who has recently attacked certain prominent female conservatives, is a “flavor of the month” being manipulated by the media, says one of her targets. Laura Ingraham writes on her blog—under the title 'Useful Idiot' Watch— that McCain is following her father’s maverick playbook, CNN reports. But he, at least, “backs up his views with a lifetime of sacrifice and public service.”

Ingraham also says the liberal response to her jab at Meghan's weight is "manufactured and totally phony," and she notes that Rush Limbaugh has taken similar shots. Meghan borrowed a line from Tyra Banks in her own blog response: "Kiss my fat ass!" In a Twitter interview today, John McCain said, "I'm proud of my daughter, and she has a right to her opinions."

Memo to Meghan McCain: Enjoy the media coverage while it lasts, but know you're being used. You are the flavor of the month in left-wing media land because you are a Republican bashing the GOP. - Laura Ingraham

Yes the GOP and Fixed News seem to have penchant for blonde women with a nasty bark for some reason. In this case Ms McCain has every right to blog her views but it's blogger beware. The feverish conservative core of the Republican Party is itching for a chance to distance themselves from Repbublican moderates, particularly if their last name is McCain. They held their noses and offered damning faint praise for McCain during the election. There is no need to be two faced any longer. Onward, rightward christian soldiers........ Reply
