A plumber who said he was just playing around was busted yesterday in a bizarre bow-and-arrow attack on a Yonkers woman. A 30-inch arrow arced from the sky to pierce the woman's stomach as she walked in the Bronx last Sunday. Police became suspicious when the plumber, who lived near the attack, acted "squirrely" while being questioned, a cop told the New York Daily News. He has been charged with assault and reckless endangerment.

"I know whoever did this knew they did it. I know they heard me scream," said the victim, who is still recovering from her wound. "He could have killed me." (More crime stories.)
