Lauer Has Deer Run-in, Misses Today

(Newser) – Matt Lauer was forced to skip Today this morning, after being slightly injured by a deer that jumped into the path of his bike over the weekend, Us reports. But where did the deer come from? Lauer “thinks the deer was hired by the competition,” said co-anchor Meredith Vieira, but in reality, “I hired the deer. But I said, ‘Just graze him.’”
