Meghan McCain: I'm a New Kind of Republican

Tells Larry King she supports Obama, but is 'totally daddy's girl'

(Newser) – Meghan McCain considers herself a “progressive Republican,” she told Larry King last night on CNN—a new, younger voice for the party. McCain, who’s been in the news lately for her spat with conservatives Laura Ingraham and Ann Coulter, said she was “totally daddy’s girl,” but disagrees with him on social issues. “We have a very big generation gap between me and my father,” she said.

Of the Ingraham spat, she said it was over as far as she was concerned, and that she had never heard of Ingraham beforehand. Asked if she, like Rush Limbaugh, wanted Obama to fail, she replied, “I would never want my president to fail,” and that all negative feelings from the election were gone: “I support the president.”

Did you fail reading comprehension? No one said she is Teddy Roosevelt. And I said I'm a fiscal moderate not conservative. But thanks for attempting to read. Keep trying, you'll get it one day.

the repubs need to be more moderate? They just nominated the poster boy of moderate, and lost. I say stick to conservatism.

Maybe she needs to talk to Bobby Jindal...he like Limbaugh and the rest of the Right Wing Clan still think it's o.k. to want Obama to fail.
