Hudson Returns to Idol, Barker to Price Is Right
After President Obama told Jay Leno "everybody [in Washington] is like Simon Cowell," Cowell responded to Leno that Obama meant DC was "more intelligent," the Huffington Post reports.   (AP Photo/Dan Steinberg)

Celebrities are returning to their roots today. Jennifer Hudson is taping a performance after tonight’s American Idol that will air on an upcoming episode, the AP reports, and Bob Barker is taping an appearance on The Price is Right to air April 16, according to Variety. Elsewhere:

  • In more Idol news, Simon Cowell responded to President Obama’s jab on the Tonight Show, saying that by comparing DC to Cowell, Obama meant “Washington has become more truthful, more honest, more sincere, more intelligent,” the Huffington Post notes.

  • Another celebrity “feud” could be ending: Anthony Bourdain blogged about fellow celebrity chef Rachael Ray—whom he once called a “bobblehead”—after she booked one of his favorite bands for her SXSW party, the New York Daily News reports: “This development, following hot on the heels of Rachael saying nice things about me on Nightline, has caused me no small amount of confusion, panic and misery. I don’t know whether to go out and shoot a puppy, or send Rachael a fruit basket.”
  • Not all celebrity feuds end so well: An employee of rapper Akon was robbed last night, and he blames it on Suge Knight—who is allegedly owed money by Akon’s producer, TMZ reports.
