(Newser) – After the Edinburgh home of the former boss of the Royal Bank of Scotland was vandalized last night, an unknown group is warning of further attacks on financial figures, the Scottish Daily Record reports. Sir Fred Goodwin has been the focus of controversy since he took early retirement—complete with a $1 million annual pension—as the credit crisis nearly felled RBS. The UK has since partly nationalized the bank.

The windows of Goodwin's Mercedes S600 were also smashed. “We are angry that rich people, like him, are paying themselves a huge amount of money and living in luxury,” the statement emailed to media outlets today said, “while ordinary people are made unemployed, destitute and homeless.” The email did not name a group or explicitly claim responsibility for the attack, but proclaimed: “This is just the beginning.”

RBS had a commercial where some guy would just appear and fix things. Maybe this guy should get that guy to fix his car windows.
