'Colombia Fritzl' Fathered 11 Kids With Daughter

Man accused of imprisoning girl, raping her from age 9

(Newser) – A Colombian man has been accused of imprisoning his daughter and raping her from the age of 9 and fathering 11 children with her, the BBC reports. He denies incest and rape charges, insisting his daughter was adopted and that the two “agreed to have a romantic relationship because we really loved each other.” Local press is calling Arcebio Alvarez, 59, the “monster of Mariquita,” his home region.

His daughter, in her 30s, said she “always respected him as my father,” adding, “he never spoke" about incest, "about why we were doing it. Sometimes I would ask him and he would say it was God's will.” Three of her children died. She said her mother passed away when she was five, the Times of London reports. When a pastor encouraged her to tell her story, she talked to a newspaper reporter.

(NEWSER) - A Brooklyn man has been arrested for two sex assaults on teenagers at the Occupy Wall Street camp in Zuccotti Park. One of the victims, 18, reported to police she was raped in a tent in the camp; a 17-year-old protester said she was groped in her tent. Tony Iketubosin, 26, has been charged with third-degree sex abuse in that incident, and still faces charges in the rape, police told the Wall Street Journal . (NEWSER) - A serial rapist spotted on surveillance video appears to be stalking alumnae of a particular sorority in Dallas, police have revealed. Four members of Delta Sigma Theta have been raped in their homes in the last 11 months by an attacker who had personal information about them, reports the Dallas Morning News . The women were all in their 50s or 60s. The sorority has sent out email alerts to alumnae, and police have requested rosters of past and current members. More»

(NEWSER) - A jailbird California actor who played Doctor Evil's henchman in an Austin Powers film is suspected of killing his sex-offender cell mate, investigators have revealed. The 50-year-old victim was serving two years for failure to register as a sex offender. He was found dead in a cell in Wasco prison he shared with Joseph Hyungmin Son, 40, who played Random Task in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.
