(Newser) – Even though it’s no shocker that getting matching tattoos is a bad idea, celebrities keep on doing it. The latest drama-ridden couples to get ill-advisedly inked? LiLo and Sam, Rihanna and Chris Brown, and Britney and K-Fed. “It’s a terrible idea,” a doc at New York’s Tattoo Removal Center tells the Daily News.

From Angelina Jolie’s Billy Bob dragon to Johnny Depp’s Winona—now "Wino"—Forever, celebrity tattoos have a long history of causing snickers after the relationship falls apart. “All you need to do is look at the divorce rate and beyond that, the break-up rate of relationships before marriage," says the doc. "Buy roses, buy chocolate, buy a puppy and share it. Don’t get matching tattoos.”
