Fla. Mom Who Killed Son, Self Thought She Was the Antichrist

(Newser) – A Florida woman who killed her son and herself at a shooting range Sunday wrote in a note that “I had to send my son to heaven and myself to Hell,” the Orlando Sentinel reports. Marie Moore, 44, shot her son Mitchell, 20, in the head with a rented gun while he was aiming downrange, then turned it on herself.

Mitchell died at the scene; his mother died later at a nearby hospital. In notes and recordings Moore left for family and police, she puzzles over her fate, which she says is a commandment from God. “I have to die and go to hell so there can be a thousand years peace on Earth,” she says, thinking she is the Antichrist. “I don’t know how all this happened. It’s not in the Bible. No forgiveness for me. That’s not in the Bible. The Antichrist being a woman.”

Followers of Islam believe in their religion just as fervently as ezider believes in his, and on the same totally illogical evidence. Their scripture tells them that their beliefs are valid. How do they know their scripture is the source of the truth? Their scripture tells them so. This is circular logic.
