Authorities recovered two more bodies from the wreckage of the I-35W bridge today, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports, bringing the official death toll to seven. One of the bodies has already been identified, and police anticipated retrieving a third as work continued for a seventh full day in and around the Mississippi River.

Recovery workers continue to remove some of an estimated 88 vehicles from the Mississippi. Navy and FBI divers continued their efforts as well, though officials cautioned that their work will be slow and potentially dangerous. Police also said they've ruled out homeless people among the victims after interviewing one man who came to retrieve belongings from near the scene. (More I 35W bridge stories.)
