(Newser) – "Goateed Guru" Chuck Todd will host his own political TV show after all, the New York Observer reports. After losing out to the more seasoned David Gregory to helm Meet the Press, Todd is developing a weekend political show slated to air on MSNBC in the spring. Details of the show—Saturday or Sunday, panel or one-on-one, taped or live—are still under discussion.

A breakout star during the election, Todd is already MSNBC's chief White House correspondent and political director.
