Glenn Beck’s live show had an unexpected twist yesterday: a guest passed out early in the program, TVNewser reports. As Beck chatted about a chart, David Buckner of Columbia University whispered “I’m passing out.” Beck asked if Buckner wanted to sit and took his hand, but it was too late: Buckner fell to the floor. Cameras gave the audience a look at Beck bending over his guest before cutting.

“It’s a wild day here,” Beck said upon returning from commercial. Buckner “was ill, apparently, this morning and just got a little lightheaded, but he is fine." He later added that some thought the moment was "part of the show because this show, you never know what to expect.” Buckner, he said, apologized, "and I'm like, 'are you kidding me, the ratings will be through the roof!'"
