Idol Judges Issue First 'Save'

Even so, Simon says he probably won't win

(Newser) – No one was eliminated from American Idol last night, with the judges using their new one-time save power to keep Matt Giraud from being voted off, AP reports. The bad news? Giraud still doesn’t “really have any chance of winning the competition,” Simon Cowell said. Because the judges invoked the rule, two contestants will head home next week.
