Sarko: Obama's Not So Hot

Share

(Newser) – Someone sounds a little jealous the international media has found a new darling. Nicolas Sarkozy sniped today at President Obama for being inexperienced and indecisive, the Times of London reports. While praising Obama's "clever" mind, the French president complained to party members that "he was elected two months ago and had never run a ministry. There are a certain number of things on which he has no position. And he is not always up to standard on decision-making and efficiency.”

Sarkozy took issue with the fact that Obama got all the credit for solving an impasse between France and China at the G20 summit. Sarkozy said Obama woud not have acted had he not scolded him with the line, "You were elected to build a new world." The French president also criticized Obama on climate change: "I told him, ‘I don’t think that you have quite understood what we are doing on carbon dioxide.'"

This attitude is why the French are the world's leaders -- not! President Obama is the new kid on the block, so to speak -- but he's getting there fast. Sarkozy has a right to his opinion, but it certainly has the usual French twist as far as anything or anyone American! Sour grapes, Nicolas? Isn't your model trophy wife working for your image any longer? Tsk. Reply

Sarko (La Merde) faces serious challenges in the polls at home or abroad... He's not a happy man, nor a popular one.

Sarkosy is better than the last guy but he is typical European nontheless. Obama had better get used to being snubbed by these guys who have lots to say but little to actually contribute. Look at Afghanistan policy where everyone praised Obama but nobody put in combat troops. Reply

The line, "You were elected to build a new world." goes much further than the masses realize... http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/election/546 Reply

I just read your article, terror. Seems to me that while the human race is not yet ready for such a move, a world government is clearly the most logical direction to take. The challenges that are coming require concerted effort, not petty arguing and competition. We will have to build coalitions for huge problems facing Earth and not individual governments. Why not start the foundational steps now rather than later?
