Both had stopped tweeting after announcing their split last week, but returned yesterday with holiday messages for their fans. Kutcher apologizes for originally defending Penn State coach

(NEWSER) - Ashton Kutcher is handing over the keys to the social medium he once dominated: The actor made arguably his worst Twitter gaffe ever yesterday when he defended former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, tweeting, “How do you fire Jo Pa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste.” The social media site exploded with anger at Kutcher, who later removed the original tweet and said he didn’t know the “full story” at the time. Then, last night, he wrote, “As of immediately I will stop tweeting until I find a way to properly manage this feed. I feel awful about this error. Won’t happen again.” More»
