The Obama daughters are starting to rival even Miley Cyrus as an obsession of tween girls, the Washington Post reports. Young girls—especially in the DC area—are poring over every shred of information available about Malia and Sasha Obama, plastering their bedroom walls with photos of the first family and fantasizing about play dates at the White House.

Presidential daughters have drawn plenty of attention in the past, but experts say the Internet has helped drive Sasha and Malia-mania to a whole new level.  The White House has done its best to discourage press coverage of the Obama daughters outside official events to keep the girls' lives as normal as possible, and their young fans say the fact that they seem like "normal girls" is exactly why they want them as best friends.
