Cheating Hubby Sues Telltale Florist

1-800-Flowers may pay dearly for sending thank-you note to client's home

(Newser) – A man is suing a florist for $1 million for letting his wife in on a secret: He had a girlfriend. Leroy Greer accuses 1-800-flowers.com of failing to keep a purchase for his paramour private—and upping the price tag of his divorce. But the company says it can't take responsibility "for an individual's personal conduct," the Houston Chronicle reports.

Greer sent his sweetheart a dozen red roses and a note, expecting the florist to comply with its privacy policy of not revealing purchases to third parties. But the company sent a thank-you note—to his home. His ex-wife-to-be found the note, requested a copy of the receipt, and hit the roof.
