Honeymooning? Stay at Hotel Saddam

Dictator's digs becoming luxury hotel with a Saddam suite for honeymooners

(Newser) – One of Saddam Hussein's massive palaces is set to be converted into a world-class hotel, reports the New York Daily News, with crack Iraqi tourism officials eying the former dictator's sumptuous bedroom as the honeymoon suite. While the novelty might appeal to some, not everybody's convinced.

"In Iraq? Right now? Definitely not," one wedding planner told the Daily News. "The first thing about honeymoons is you don't want to be afraid. You want to make sure everything will be perfect. Even in the future I think it would leave a bad taste in your mouth. You couldn't possibly consider something like that."

To go dance and drink beer on top of evil, it would be a joy. It would be a victory. It would show good over evil.
