Titans to Pacman: No Wrestling

Posted Aug 11, 07 8:43 AM CDT in Sports

(Newser) – Wayward Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has struck a deal with the team that will keep him from pursuing his pro wrestling career. A county judge must sign off on the deal, which supersedes a temporary restraining order issued on the team's behalf yesterday that forbids Jones from participating in a match tomorrow, the Tennessean reports.

Wrestling syndicate Total Nonstop Action may now have a bone to pick with the suspended star. He has been expected to make his debut in tomorrow's pay-per-view event, but TNA's website says only that he will appear. A standard NFL contract clause prohibits players from doing anything that poses "a significant risk of personal injury."
