(Newser) – California Rep. Jane Harman demanded today that Justice Department release “unredacted” transcripts of telephone conversations recorded without her knowledge, Politico reports. Harman demanded the wiretapped conversations be released in response to media reports that she was recorded agreeing to try to help two pro-Israel lobbyists accused of spying in exchange for them touting her for chairmanship of the House Intelligence Committee.

“This abuse of power is outrageous,” Harman wrote to Attorney General Eric Holder, “and I call on your Department to release all transcripts and other investigative material involving me in an unredacted form. It is my intention to make this material available to the public.”

She may very well have done nothing wrong however that doesn't mean that Alberto Gonzalez and the politicized Justice Department weren't trying to twist nothing into a damning legal charge. She may have been complicit just to avoid the mud dragging.

I dunno, asking for full disclosure makes her seem innocent. Notice Cunningham, Ney, DeLay, Craig, Folley, Stevens, or any republican indicted in recent years never asked as much

She should know about "abuse of power". She needs to understand that she is a US Congress person and not in the Israeli Kennesit.
