Woods Tees Up Victory in Tulsa

(Newser) – After an historic 7-under 63 at Southern Hills, Tiger Woods had no problem holding his lead in the third round of the PGA Championship today, even with a decidedly average 1-under 69. Woods will go into the final with a three-stroke lead over Stephen Ames—a position in which he's never lost a major.

"If I was not a golfer — a fan on the couch — I'd be putting my house on him," Ernie Els said. Ames, meanwhile, reminded fans that he's hungry enough for the title to catch up to the world's number one golfer: "Tiger's going for his 13th," he said. "I'm looking for my first."
