Camo Bible Lets Faithful Hunt 'n' Pray

(Newser) – Evangelical Christians are not used to hiding their faith—but pious hunters have to when gilded scripture covers catch the eye of their prey. An Arkansas-based online outdoors shop is solving the problem with Bibles covered in leaves and tree bark, as well as camo covers for personal copies of the Good Book. Starting at just under $20, the tricky testaments are the retailer's bestselling items.

Half of US hunters and fishermen identify themselves as evangelical Christians—George W. Bush among them. And the store's owner says a big part of hunting is hunting for the Lord. "Because we believe that God created all this, when we are outdoors it is a really spiritual experience," he said.
