(Newser) – The United Arab Emirates prince whose torture video has shaken relations with the US has been accused of 25 other attacks on people that have been videotaped, the Guardian reports. The American who smuggled out the first tape has more than two hours of video footage showing attacks involving Sheikh Issa bin Zayed al-Nahyan, his lawyer wrote in a letter to the justice minister.

At least three witnesses are willing to testify that the brutality is “part of a pattern of conduct that has gone on for some time," the lawyer added. The original tape shows the prince setting a man on fire and using his vehicle to run him over. The latest news is another serious blow to the UAE amid nuclear negotiations with the US.

No, this is what's known as "enhanced disciplinary actions".

Clearly, the general machismo culture of the Middle-East is an unhealthy one. Obviously, ultimate power corrupts, as evident through Sheikh Issa bin Zayed al-Nahyan's unfathomable and absolutely inexcusable, unforgivable actions. In the end, nothing will come of this, as this IS a rudimentary facet of their culture. I, in the end, have no desire to visit the UAE nor do business with them. All the UAE proposes in their latest PR campaign, damage control to save face; no real actions, just a fiçade.
