Wolverine Bites Into $87M Box Office

Share

(Newser) Wolverine tore the box office apart this weekend, clawing in $87 million, USA Today reports. Though that’s less than the debuts of last summer’s opener (Iron Man, $98.6 million) and the top-grossing X-Men film (The Last Stand, $102 million), it still bodes well for a blockbuster season. Romcom Ghost of Girlfriends Past opened with a weak $15.3 million, while Obsessed ($12.2 million), 17 Again ($6.4 million), and Monsters vs. Aliens ($5.8 million) rounded out the top five.

Actually, he did. That was on the island, not the village. Look at the clothes. But really, that movie was a huge disappointment. The CGI was bad (think of the blades in the bathroom mirror, the greenscreen when Xavier shows up...), the action scenes haphazard (Gambit gets knocked out and seconds later is running across rooftops with a bo toward where he was supposed to be?), and they sewed Deadpool's mouth shut! How can they take away the Merc with a Mouth's mouth? Not to mention the swords in his arm, the blades changing from knotty bone to smooth metal blades without shaping...

what ...no real adamantium blades...lol.....I seen the movie friday.....awsome flick....a few things were not quite "realistic" even for the genre but overall pretty cool......deadpools swords were too long for they way they were "sheathed"...he wouldn't be able to bend his arms, and a few other minor oopsi's Reply
