Favre to Talk With Vikings

Share

(Newser) – He just can't stay away: Brett Favre will talk to Vikings coach Brad Childress this week about renouncing his NFL retirement—again—and suiting up for Minnesota, reports ESPN. A decision would have to come quickly: The Vikes would want Favre to participate in training camp, something he missed last year with the Jets. Much reportedly depends on how well Favre's torn biceps tendon heals.

Further proof that many years of getting hit in the head has damaged his frontal lobe (the executive part of the brain) that he can't decide when its really time to walk away-whhile he still can walk away-to say nothing about possible brain diseases down the road-Hit: Think of a great boxer that had so many blows to the head he know suffers from a brain disease. Have you listened to the stories from your elder football players that want to sue the league for their long term injuries and the medical coverage for them? Reply

Yea but it's tears me up. I began watching football because of Brett and I fell in love with football because of Brett. I was the last person in the world that wants to see him gone permanently. But at the same time, I am beginning to wish he would find another way to stay around like maybe coaching. He will always be remembered as one of the greats, but I am afraid he is losing a lot of respect and credibility by doing this every year. :( Reply

Another great athlete that just doesn't know when it is time to walk away. Reply

Brett needs to actually retire and stick to it. Your right jojo, as he has lost my respect and I am so tired of hearing about him. Enough already. Our Vikings can do without him. Reply
