The iconic 80's Rock group Van Halen will set off on a comeback tour this fall—this time with original frontman David Lee Roth. Roth hasn't performed live with his former bandmates since leaving in a huff in 1985, but stresses it's a new era for the group. "This is not a reunion—this is a new band," Roth said Monday at a press conference.

"It's the s--t, that's all I can say," Eddie Van Halen added. The lineup will feature Roth on vocals, Eddie on guitar, Eddie's brother Alex on drums, and Eddie's 16-year old son Wolfgang on bass. The new sound is "young, it's skinny and it's f--king amazing," says Roth. Van Halen kicks off the North American leg of its tour on September 27th in Charlotte, NC. (More Van Halen stories.)
