Susan Boyle has turned down offers to rub shoulders with President Obama and Hollywood A-listers at the White House Correspondents Dinner tonight, saying she was too nervous. "She was shocked and thrilled by the invite—but it was all too much too soon for her so she said No," a source tells News of the World. US television networks extended the invitations to Britain's reality TV singing star.

"She has been told President Obama has seen clips of her on TV and loved her singing," the source added. "And she is delighted. Her dream is to sing for President Obama one day. She loves him and thinks he is already a terrific president." (More Susan Boyle stories.)
