Booze, Boos: Amy Blows Comeback Gig

Winehouse gets drunk, yells at band, cries after fans jeer her offstage

(Newser) – Instead of a big comeback performance yesterday, Amy Winehouse forgot lyrics and burst into tears when 3,000 concertgoers booed her offstage, the News of the World reports. At a jazz festival in St. Lucia, Winehouse showed up an hour late after boozing for six hours, yelled at her band for playing songs she didn’t know—her own—and told the crowd, “I’m just kind of bored.”

“It’s entertaining but only in the way a train crash is,” one fan said. Rain eventually disrupted the power supply, but an oblivious Winehouse continued singing, before collapsing onstage. “It’s the first time Amy has sung those songs for a long time,” a spokesman said. “They brought back all her memories of” erstwhile husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

people are still paying to see this mess? i don't know what's worse, Winehouse or her fans who think they'll get something decent out of paying to see her on stage.... bless.. Reply
