White House Rips Sykes' 9/11-Limbaugh Joke

Share

(Newser) – Press Secretary Robert Gibbs today distanced the administration from 9/11-related comments made by comedian Wanda Sykes at the White House Correspondents dinner, Politico reports. Some things “are better left for serious reflection,” Gibbs said. “There's no doubt 9/11 is part of that.” Sykes suggested that “Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker, but he was just so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight.”

Personally I thought it was a good way to "remind" people what the rich and powerful wizard of Republican radio was most noted for, perhaps the thousands of seized Oxycontin might help jar a few memories when they decide to heed his advice? Taking advice from a junkie, where would that rate on the intelligence scale? I am not saying he is one, his money and political power prevented that from coming to light. Reply

godawgs, how dare you say that about The Bama. Anyway, it doesn't count when a Democrat does something wrong, half of Obama's admin failed to pay their taxes, but that ok, besides, a little coke never hurt anyone.

The personal attacks on Russ Limbaugh and Dick Cheney were slimy at best. The President's remarks that his Chief of Staff never used the words "Mother and Day" in the same sentence was also crude. Reply
