A Guatemalan lawyer killed Sunday in an apparent assassination left behind a blockbuster legacy: A video accusing President Alvaro Colom of orchestrating his murder. Released at Rodrigo Rosenberg Marzano’s funeral, the tape shows the lawyer explaining calmly that Colom had it in for him because one of his clients had refused to participate in a corruption scam, the Guardian reports.

That client, Khalil Musa, and his daughter were shot dead in March. Rosenberg's video has sparked a political crisis. Colom has vehemently denied the allegations, calling for outside investigations by the UN and FBI. Opposition parties are calling for Colom to step down, and hundreds demonstrated outside his mansion yesterday. One newspaper called it the greatest political crisis since the country became a democracy. (More Alvaro Colom stories.)
