Star-studded lineup for final week

(Newser) – Conan O’Brien is sneaking onto the Tonight Show a little early. He and James Taylor are the guests for Jay Leno’s final episode, to air May 29, Acesss Hollywood reports. Leno’s lineup for that week includes Mel Gibson, Lyle Lovett, and Billy Crystal. “I really do like the guy,” Leno said of O’Brien, embracing his new time slot. “10 o’clock is like the new 11:30.”

kansas, thanks for your opinion but when you said Failon is the only one doing a good job you lost all credibility. Conan is the funniest talk show host ever. He's the first host to break free from the boring, cookie cutter talk show format that EVERY other host adopted. I only hope they don't tone him down because of the earlier time slots.

O'brien's schtick was aimed at the late night (early morning) audience-- one with a liking for racy, off beat humor. Conan's a genius and a survivor-- I think he and his team will work long and hard to attract the Leno lovers.
